Fjällräven Trekking Backpacks – Helags

Not only Haglöfs is launching new backpacks this season – the Swedes at Fjällräven have also added a new hiking and trekking backpack to their range with the Helags. Incidentally, almost half a century ago it was a backpack that laid the foundation for Fjällräven. So it is safe to assume that plenty of experience has gone into the development of this backpack.

Technical specifications of the Helags backpacks

  • Models: 30 L / 40 L
  • Weight: 1200 g / 2000 g
  • Material: 750 denier nylon fabric with PU coating
  • Colours: Ox Red, Black and Olive (30 L) / Black, Olive and Light Khaki (40 L)

The Helags series will come in 2 different models (30 L and 40 L) with the typical Fjällräven design. As the official press release puts it, unnecessary frills have deliberately been left out. Loads are carried on a comfortable, non-adjustable harness. Adaptation to the wearer’s back is achieved via bendable aluminium stays, complemented by ergonomic hip and shoulder straps.

So that the backpack not only fits well but is also a robust companion outdoors, abrasion-resistant 750 denier nylon fabric with PU coating is used as the outer material. The included rain cover protects against rain.

From the manufacturer’s profits, €5 per backpack is donated to the SEFALO+ project, which works to protect the Arctic fox in the Scandinavian mountains.
