The fourth stage of our journey was one of the shorter ones. Only 12 kilometers took us to Tineo, where we spent most of the day. After leaving La Espina, we made our way through beautiful but incredibly muddy forest paths. The path led us along a barbed wire fence that separated a cow pasture from a huge mud puddle – a real challenge for our shoes.

Arrival in Tineo

Once we arrived at the entrance to Tineo, we continued along the road, which offered us a breathtaking view of the town. Tineo is a charming town in the region of Asturias, set in a green, hilly landscape. The larger, beautiful town spread out before us, with a mixture of traditional architecture and modern elements.

Rest day in Tineo

When we arrived in Tineo, we moved into a private room in a hostel located in the basement of a building. Although the description seemed a bit daunting at first, the room was actually very nice. Only one side of the building was underground and we could still enjoy a great view from the window. In the afternoon, we took the opportunity to explore the surroundings of Tineo. We strolled through the streets and picked up something to eat at the supermarket.
