The starting point of the tour is at the Hexenritt parking lot, where you can easily park your car, although parking fees may apply.

The tour begins directly with the most challenging section: the ascent to the Wurmberg. The last few meters to the summit are the most strenuous and are tackled via a staircase. Once at the top, the first stamp is well deserved. At 971 meters, the Wurmberg is the highest mountain in Lower Saxony and offers an impressive view over the Harz Mountains.

After the Wurmberg, the route leads through Schierke, a district of Wernigerode in Saxony-Anhalt, which is known as a state-approved resort and often serves as a gateway to the Brocken, the highest mountain in the Harz. After passing through Schierke, you reach the second stamp point of the day: Heleneruh, stamp number 21.

From Heleneruh, the route continues towards Elend and then uphill again. Elend is a small village in the Harz Mountains and belongs to the municipality of Oberharz am Brocken. There you will find stamp number 22, the Barrenberg. The stamp on the Barrenberg can easily be overlooked.

The next stop on the tour is the impressive Schnarcherklippe. These striking granite rocks are a popular hiking destination and also offer beautiful views.

After a longer stretch without any more stamps, you finally reach the last stamping point on the tour: the Kaffeehorst. From there, you return to the starting point.
