A lovely hike through the vineyards to two castle ruins. The tour starts right at our campsite in the small town of Barr and soon leaves it towards the vineyards. After a few kilometres, easy forest tracks lead to the Château du Haut-Andlau, which is still owned by the Andlau family to this day. An association takes care of preserving and using the castle. From there the route continues to the Spesburg, destroyed in the Thirty Years’ War, and back to the campsite via the picturesque villages of Andlau and Mittelbergheim.
