After work, I went for a short walk to the stamp sites at the Steinberg tower and Granestausee lake. If I don’t start collecting stamps during the week, I don’t think I’ll be able to do it this year.

The starting point was the parking lot at the Steinberg playground right on the edge of the forest. If you’re particularly lazy, you can probably drive further up to get to the Steinberg tower faster. To be honest, the mostly paved path to get there is not particularly impressive. There are certainly nicer and greener routes.

Which view over Goslar do you actually like better: the one from the Steinberg tower or the one from the Sudmerberger Warte?

But the path to the stamping station at Granestausee was all the more beautiful. The stamping point itself is located next to a refuge directly on the reservoir and is definitely a good place for a longer break. You might also need one before heading back to the parking lot, as our route past the bear cave is steep and strenuous. All in all, this walk was the perfect end to the day and provided a wonderful opportunity to enjoy nature and recharge your batteries.
